About Me

IT infrastructure & network specialist with 12+ years of experience in enterprise and industrial environments. I build IT that businesses can rely on — around the clock.

Background

I'm Vadim Aland — a Senior IT Infrastructure & Network Specialist based in Narva, Estonia. I design, build and run the IT that businesses depend on, so they can focus on what they do best.

For 12+ years I've managed full IT infrastructure in demanding enterprise and industrial / manufacturing environments — where systems run 24/7 and downtime is not an option. My work spans multi-vendor networks, server virtualisation (Hyper-V), Windows/Linux administration, Active Directory, and hybrid Microsoft 365 / Azure (Entra ID) deployments, alongside backup, monitoring and the full IT asset lifecycle.

That same enterprise-grade experience goes into every project I take on — practical, resilient solutions without unnecessary complexity. I work in English, Estonian and Russian.

Scale

As the in-house lead engineer, I've designed, built and run the complete IT estate of a multi-site manufacturing enterprise — 5 sites · 600+ devices · 30+ VMs across 3 Hyper-V clusters · 800+ IP addresses · 20+ full-mesh IPsec tunnels. Leading a lean in-house team and coordinating external contractors for outsourced work, from core networking and firewalls to virtualisation, VoIP, CCTV, access control, an automated CMDB and centralised monitoring, logging and SIEM. Availability

My primary commitment is my full-time IT role, and it comes first. Outside working hours I take on independent projects in my own time, so they never overlap with my day-to-day responsibilities at work.

I'm also open to a quiet conversation about the right long-term opportunity. Get in touch at [email protected].
